Why do I need a moisturizer specifically for my eye and lip areas? How is the skin in these areas different then the rest of my face?
The skin around the eyes and lips tends to be thinner and more susceptible to damage than the skin on your forehead, cheeks, and chin. Skin around the eye area lacks sebaceous glands, and is thus more prone to dryness than other areas on the face, while the skin around your mouth is commonly dried out by contact with the foods and beverages we ingest. We also use the eyes and mouth to express emotions! The repetitive motions associated with smiling, frowning, laughing, eating, drinking all contribute the accelerated formation of lines and wrinkles in these areas. Because the skin is so sensitive, irritants can also easily cause inflammation, resulting in redness and puffiness. Moisturizers formulated specifically for the mouth and eye areas are essential for delivering potent anti-aging ingredients in a way that the skin can most effectively absorb. Eye and lip creams tend to be thicker than regular moisturizers to provide additional support to these delicate areas. The also tend to have slightly different levels of active ingredients, to specifically target dryness, the visible signs of aging, puffiness, and dark circles. Most importantly, eye and lip moisturizers should contain safe and gentle ingredients to minimize irritation from the toxins and harmful substances found in many skin care products.

Is the Eye+Lip Age Eraser more concentrated than the Day Defense Plus & Night Repair 3Deep?
Some anti-aging ingredients in the Eye+Lip Age Eraser are in higher concentrations than in the Day Defense + and Night Repair 3Deep, primarily because these areas tend to form lines and wrinkles more easily and show the signs of aging more obviously. The main difference between the full face moisturizing products and the Eye + Lip Age Eraser, however, is that it is simply formulated differently to be absorbed most efficiently into the delicate (and wrinkle prone) areas around the lips and eyes.
