The Celloxylin Activating Tonic should be used twice daily (after cleansing) in conjunction with the Celloxylin skin care regimen.

How does Activating Tonic contribute to my skin care regimen?
Activating Tonic is designed to remove the last traces of impurities after cleansing, and helps open pores and prepare the skin to receive beneficial ingredients from subsequent products. Built into the formula are ingredients with antiseptic, astringent, anti-inflammatory, and wound healing properties. Additionally, Activating Tonic contains Tremella Fuciformis extract, an incredibly effective humectant that both moisturizes the skin and helps the skin hold onto moisture for longer; this is essential for ensuring that your skin receives the maximum benefits from the Firming Complex, Eye+Lip Age Eraser, and Day Defense or Night Repair 3Deep. In fact, using Activating Tonic will effectively cut down the amount of these products necessary to achieve optimal results. Finally, a naturally acidic layer protects skin from bacteria and other contaminants; Activating Tonic is slightly acidic, and thus helps maintain the skin’s naturally acidic pH level.

Should I let the Activating Tonic dry completely before applying Firming Complex?
No. Applying the Firming Complex while the Activating Tonic is still slightly moist on skin will enhance the skin’s ability to draw in beneficial ingredients from the Firming Complex. The humectant ingredient, Tremella fuciformis, in Activating Tonic is especially important for helping skin absorb and retain moisture.
