MEET DENA:
"After graduating from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst with a BBA in Finance, I started a career in retail buying. I loved living in Boston and working for a company that was part of the one of the largest retail chains in the country. I always imagined that I would be there forever! A couple of years later, I married my college sweetheart, and before we knew it, we were parents. I was determined to go back to work and prove to myself that I could have a successful career and be an incredible Mom. For several years, I was able to do both, but really felt I was missing out on being with my children every day. We made the decision that I would stay home with my young children, and I left my retail career.

"Soon after, I became a consultant with a direct sales company. It was a fun way to earn some extra income while supporting my love of scrapbooking. I did not realize it at the time, but this experience taught me how empowering network marketing can be for the Mom who wants to earn some extra income, and grow a successful home-based business. I was later introduced to another network marketing company that seemed to have everything I was looking for. I learned so much from my five years there, and enjoyed all of the benefits and the products. However, with changes in the company and a decline in my own business and income, it was no longer a fit for me and my family.

"My family had become dependent on a second income, and I made the decision to go back to my retail career. I was fortunate enough to find a great position with one of the best department store companies in the US. I worked hard, made an incredible income, and achieved results that were the top in the company. But, as so many of us know, being a full-time working mom in the corporate world leaves little time for family or for ourselves. I learned a lot about myself during these couple of years, and what I want for my life. I learned that working and getting paid is important! Not just to pay your bills, but to feel as if the time we spend working is worth what we are earning. I wanted to work, but I missed my family. I started to look for another opportunity that would allow me the flexibility to continue to work from home, earn a great income, and allow me to spend quality time with my kids. My past experience was telling me the answer was still network marketing.

"I knew I needed to make a change. My last day working my corporate retail job was almost exactly 19 years since my first day working in the buying offices in Boston. I do look back on all these years with pride at what I accomplished in my career, but I know I have much more to look forward to with Apriori Beauty!"
