• Celloxylin MD 20EX Acid Peel combines alpha-hydroxy acids (AHA’s), beta-hydroxy acids (BHA’s), N-Acetyl Glucosamine, and soothing agents to produce a highly potent, proprietary, 20% acid EXfoliation complex.

• Glycolic Acid (AHA) | used to improve skin’s appearance and texture, glycolic acid helps reduce fine lines and wrinkles, hyperpigmentation, and scarring. Glycolic acid works by dissolving the “glue” that holds dead skin cells on the surface, allowing them to be released thus revealing healthier, younger looking skin. Glycolic acid provides the additional benefit of making skin more receptive to moisturization from topically applied products after dead skin cells are removed.

• Lactic Acid (AHA) | like Glycolic Acid, Lactic Acid aids in the sloughing of dead skin cells from the skin’s surface. It also helps reduce the signs of environmental aging, hyperpigmentation, and scarring.

• N-Acetyl Glucosamine | an integral part of the connective tissue that holds cells together and supports cell membrane structure. Both gentle and effective, glucosamine acts on the desmosomal linkages that hold skin together directly without damaging them. This results in an improved ability for skin to naturally shed dead skin cells.

• Encapsulated Salicylic Acid (BHA) | promotes healthy skin cell shedding inside of pores. The encapsulation process allows for both effective delivery of high levels of salicylic acid, and continued release throughout the day, thus smoothing while it calms and protects via its anti-inflammatory function.

Can I use 20EX Acid Peel if I have sensitive skin?
Celloxylin MD 20EX Acid Peel contains ingredients that are specifically designed to promote healthy skin cell shedding. These ingredients may cause irritation in some individuals, especially with highly sensitive skin. If you are concerned about how your skin may react to the product, you can test it on a small patch of your inner arm - this area is nearly as sensitive as the skin on your face.

How long will the peeling last after using 20EX Acid Peel?
20EX Acid Peel works immediately to promote skin cell sloughing. Once applied, 20EX Acid Peel will form a tacky film on the skin. After 3-5 minutes (or once the product is not longer tacky feeling), the product should be gently massaged of the skin with fingertips or a damp washcloth. Dead skin cells will be removed with the product, and you should not experience additional peeling over an extended period of time. Unlike more severe treatments, 20EX Acid Peel provides desired results without the irritation and harsh side effects!

Where in my regimen should I add 20EX Acid Peel?
The Celloxylin skin care regimen contains NutrientReservoir™ ingredients that promote healthy skin structure and function; by addressing the extreme signs of aging, Celloxylin MD 20EX Acid Peel acts as an ideal compliment to this regimen. 20EX Acid Peel should be applied after cleansing with Crème Cleanse. After removing the peel and rinsing with cool water, continue immediately with steps 2-5 in the Celloxylin regimen.

Are their any special precautions I should take while using 20EX Acid Peel?
20EX Acid Peel will increase the skin’s sensitivity to UV radiation. Daily use of sun protection is required while using this product.

How much product do I use per use, and how many uses should I expect from my 20EX Acid Peel?
We recommend using 8 to 10 "pumps" of the Acid Peel per use (enough to form a layer over the skin that can dry into a film and be rubbed off). There are approximately 200 pumps per 50 mL tube of 20EX Acid Peel, giving 20-25 uses per tube. If the product does not form a distinct film on your skin, it is likely that you have not used enough product. It is also important to note that the product should not dry all the way, but should feel tacky before being peeled off (you should be able to touch the 20EX Acid Peel film with your finger and have no product stick to it before proceeding with removal of the layer).
