Welcome to the Science Center
How many personal care products do you use on a daily basis? Chances are, between cleansers, deodorants, hair care, makeup, lotions, and potions, it’s somewhere around a dozen. With so many products going onto your body, isn’t it important that you know what’s in them, how they work, and why you’re really using them?

Luminous Skin With Nothing To Hide™
Young skin has a luminosity that is often described as a glow from within. With age, natural degeneration and exposure to damaging environmental conditions cause significant changes in skin tone and texture that diminish this glow.

Far Infrared Light (FIR)
"Infrared light is anti-inflammatory, and we know that inflammation is responsible for aging. How could it not work on aging when inflammation is aging?" — Patricia Wexler, MD, Vogue (July 2011)
Nourish & Protect
The Celloxylin skin care regimen for face offers two moisturizers — Day Defense Plus and Night Repair 3Deep — to help nourish and protect your skin from the process and symptoms of aging. Each of these products had been formulated to provide skin with what it needs to remain healthy, hydrated, and younger looking.
Show your emotions, not your age!
People often ask us, “Do I really need a unique moisturizer for my eye and lip areas?” This is a great question — though your skin will definitely benefit from application of a full-face moisturizer to the eye and lip areas, the fact is that these areas are very unique compared to the rest of your skin. Not only are eye and lip areas subject to stress from repetitive movement, they are also thinner, more delicate, and produce less natural oil than the skin on rest of your face. All of this results in skin that is more susceptible to the signs and symptoms of aging. It also means that skin around the eyes and lips needs more nourishment and hydration to remain healthy and young looking.

Celloxylin Firming Complex
Products are formulated with different characteristics in order to provide unique benefits to the skin. Apriori Beauty’s Celloxylin® Firming Complex is a light, easily absorbed serum, thin consistency is ideal for delivering a concentrated boost of anti-aging NutrientReservoir™ ingredients deep into skin.

What's in Your Tonic?
After cleansing, it is common to use a toner or astringent to help remove the last traces of impurities and help close pores. Unfortunately, many of these products contain drying alcohol that can disrupt skin barrier function and cause drying. Step 2 in the Celloxylin® regimen, Activating Tonic, is uniquely formulated to take advantage of the water absorbed by skin during cleansing and help prepare the skin to fully utilize the benefits of subsequent products in the regimen. Rather than closing pores, Activating Tonic contains powerful humectant ingredients to help skin retain moisture and fully absorb hydrating ingredients from Step 3, Firming Complex. In addition, it is designed to help protect the skin’s delicate structure by restoring the naturally acidic barrier that is commonly disrupted during rinsing.

Cleansing Without Compromise
Cleansing helps remove dirt, oil, and other impurities from the skin’s surface and in pores. It is the first step in improving skin appearance, preventing blemishes, discoloration, inflammation, and general dullness. It is also the first step in nourishing skin and protecting the delicate structure that keeps skin functioning in a healthful manner!

Importance of a Skin Care Regimen
What’s your favorite skin care product? Now ask yourself: can that product provide every benefit you desire to achieve beautiful, healthy skin? Chances are the answer is no.
Great Question — How often should I exfoliate?
With age, the rate at which natural skin cell turnover occurs slows significantly. When skin cells are not shed properly from the skin’s surface, they can begin to accumulate and cause skin to be rough, dry, flaky, and dull looking. Exfoliation is an important step in a healthy skin care regimen because it helps reduce the accumulation of dead cells at the skin’s surface, and promotes healthy skin cell turnover.

Getting the Glow — Exfoliation
The outer layer of the skin, the epidermis, provides a direct barrier between our internal and external environments. Skin in the epidermis is in a constant state of regeneration — new cells are produced in the deeper layers, mature, and gradually migrate to the top layer of the skin, changing in structure and function along the way. As skin cells transition towards the outermost later of the epidermis, the stratum corneum, they become flattened, keratin filled envelopes that no longer have organelles and are no longer capable of cellular division. These cells are called keratinocytes, and they are held together by a matrix of protein bonds that help give strength to the stratum corneum and help your skin form a protective barrier from the outside environment.
